Bodyshop Seaweed Gel Cleanser and Toner

Hey guys! Today I will be talking about the seaweed cleanser and toner which are from the combination range from bodyshop. They currently have 7 products in this range and I have only tried the cleanser and toner. I’ve decided to do a review on both items since they are from the same skincare line and I was using them together as my daily routine, so it kinda just made sense.

I was advised by the sale assistant whilst getting my skin examined I had a combination skin, I suffered from dehydrated around my cheek area and an overproduction of oil (sebum) around my T-zone. (P.s my skin examination took place during the winter). Anyhow, I was advices to buy these products and I used them right away!

What’s good about the product?

I really enjoyed the feel of the product and how it was gentle around my eyes (I have sensitive eyes). My skin felt fresh and clean after every wash. I also notice I didn’t suffer any mensuration breakouts while using this product (I brought 2 tubes of this cleanser and it really was a worth the purchase as it suited my skin. Having oily/combination I also have to consider my sensitive skin and this product was amazing for that!

What I didn’t like about the product?

I wasn’t too Impressed by the scent (even though it did smell like ocean breeze, I suppose this is a personal choice). However, the scent didn’t irritate my skin but this can potentially irritate those with extremely sensitive skin.

Would I buy this product again?

This product isn’t special by any strength of the imagination in fact seaweed is put at the bottom of the ingredient list and the fragrance is listed much higher on than the seaweed! On that note this product isn’t suitable for those with very sensitive skin as it may result in skin reactions. The price point for this product isn’t worth it despite what the reviews on the bodyshop website tell you. Save your money and invest it on a product that actually will control oil production and mattify the tzone.

What I liked about the product?

I enjoyed the scent of the toner and it didn’t irritate my skin as it was alcohol free. Even though this toner didn’t dry out my skin but…. wait for it……

What I didn’t like about this product?

Because I was only using it on my T-zone as I found that when I did apply it all over my face and neck it would exacerbated my oil production and before I knew it my whole face was looking super oily.

Would I buy it again?

No, not really because it didn’t do anything for my skin despite what the reviews on the Bodyshop’s website say.
