NIVEA Refreshing Face Wash Gel

I’ve been using this brand every since I can remember! So when I ran out of my face cleanser I obviously had to replenish it with Nieva face wash.

Claim:

NIVEA Refreshing Facial Wash Gel with Vitamin E cleanses and hydrates by supporting the skin’s own moisture balance. For skin that feels cleansed, refreshed and invigorated. Suitable for normal and combination skin.

The face wash also contains NIVEA’s Hydra IQ, which is a patented intense moisturisation technology that penetrates deep within your skin to regulate the skin’s moisture balance and reduce water loss.

Ingredients:

  • Cocamidopropyl Betain (derived from coconut oil and dimethylaminoproylamine).
  • Sodium Myreth Sulfate (forming agent).
  • Sodium Acrylates Copolyme (can possibly irritate the skin).
  • Glycerin (humectant).
  • Glyceryl Glucoside (humectant and skin conditioning).
  • Tocopheryl Acetate (vitamin E).

What I liked about the product?

The gel-like consistency worked really well in washing away my makeup and any residue that was left.

This product is the perfect companion for travelling as it fitted really well in my wash-bag to travel with.

The packaging itself is perfect as you can get all of the product out unlike a bottle with a pump where it sits at the bottom of the bottle.

What I didn’t like about the product?

I particularly don’t like products that are scented as my skin literally burns at the though of scented products – which this product was!

I found that while using this product my skin broke-out. However, during that time I initially had to put it down to hormonal spotting but it was clear after awhile that my skin did not agree with this product.

I found that not only did I break-out my skin also felt dry and tight while using this product.

Texture:

Gel

Appearance:

Clear with blue specs

Would I buy this product again?

No as my skin is currently still recovering from this product and I’ve been left with blemishes from the breakouts.
