The Bodyshop: Aloe claiming foaming face wash!

Hey guys welcome back to SkincareSOS! Where I try to blog about different types of skincare products. So on that note, I’m going to discuss how the Aloe Claiming Foaming wash, worked on my oily/combination sensitive skin.

Aloe Vera has many great skin benefits as well as health benefits. It is known for its claiming effect and is great for reducing itchiness and inflammation.

I usually use Aloe Vera gel ( just in case if anybody wants to know which one I use it’s the one from Holland and Barrettes); when I undergo laser hair removal and I use it as an after-sun treatment from being out in the sun.

The bodyshop has a great range of Aloe Vera products. In fact, they currently have 12 products in their line all sources ethically. The Aloe Calming Forming Wash is package with humectant properties that ensures moistures remains in the skin. This product comes in a transparent pumping plastic bottle. I initially brought this as it was suitable for sensitive skin and I though it would minimise my oil production.

The claims:

Gently cleanse your skin with our refreshing Aloe face wash. Your skin will be left feeling clean, fresh and calmed. Our foaming wash provides daily cleansing for sensitive skin.

The ingredients:

  • Sorbitol
  • Glycerin
  • Butylene Glycol
  • Citric Acid
  • Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice

What I liked about the product:

This product was mild on my skin hence it didn’t cause any irritation on my face or around my eyes. Apart from it being mild it did nothing else for me I didn’t see any improvements on my skin.

What I didn’t like about the product:

I found while using this product my face didn’t feel clean or fresh it felt nothing. I mean as soon as I washed my face it felt like I didn’t even attempt to cleanse my face!!!

My face looked dull and not washed while using this product. Needless to say, this product was as disappointing for me as the other cleansing foam were (will be writing a blog on that sometime soon).

Would I buy the product again?

No! Because there are other foam cleansers in the market that actually work! and I much prefer my face looking as if I have actually washed it.
